About Me
I was born in Tokyo, Japan, but moved to New York City when I was just five years-old. Ever since then, being active has been more than just a hobby. I spent my childhood years playing all kinds of sports ranging from basketball, football, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, and everything in between, with basketball being my first true love. For much of my middle school, and high school years, I vowed to do everything I could to play professional basketball. I took a short detour running track and field (400m) at New York University, but returned to chasing my childhood dream thereafter. Up until COVID, I participated in multiple tryouts for the BLeague, the professional basketball league in Japan.
Once that chapter of my life ended, I had a bit of an identity crisis, and spent some time dealing with body dysmorphia. But I returned to what I knew best, and what I enjoyed most- being active. I became an ACE-certified personal trainer in 2023, and have been training clients ever since, while training for half marathons, and marathons in my free time.
